Join us for a week of 3D printing fun!
Get ready for a week of hands-on creativity, tech exploration, and serious fun. Designed for kids ages 8–12, this camp dives into the world of 3D printing — from designing custom models to bringing them to life and even painting their own creations. Each day is packed with interactive activities, cool tech tools (we provide tablets!), and take-home projects your child will be proud of.
This camp is five days and runs from 9:00am to 2:00pm
What’s included and what are we doing:
T-shirt. Every camper receives exclusive camp T-shirt—because every maker needs a uniform
Fun projects every day that the camper gets to take home. Fun prints, functional prints, art and more! We will be painting printed sculptures, printing planters and planting a live plant in them.
Learning basic modeling. We will be exploring Tinkercad, a web based modeling software, where each camper will be designing and printing a custom keychain.
Not only learning how to print but also how to properly use and maintain a 3D printer. By the end of the week your camper will be able to load, unload, and do basic maintenance on a Bambu A1 Mini 3D printer.
Small group sizes so every camper is involved. Each camp session is limited to 7 campers.
What’s does a camper need to bring:
A Packed Lunch and bottle of water. To avoid issues with food allergies and dietary restrictions we ask each camper to bring a lunch and any small snack they may want for the day. A water bottle is a good idea as it does get warm in the factory but we will also have bottle water available. We have a refrigerator to keep everything cold as needed. One day during the week we will be having a pizza party! Campers and guests will be told in advance when this is happening.
A signed safety waiver. Every camper will need to have a completed safety waive filled out and signed by a parent or guardian.
A willingness to learn. 3D printing can be fun and exciting but we are doing more than just printing things at our camp. We will be learning different skills centered around 3D printers such as modeling/ maintenance and basic 3D printer repairs.
Ideas! While we will have a curriculum we are following, we want each camper be excited to take home something they thought of and that they made!
